Rec's for a good Vintage Denim or Chambray Shirt?

I'm looking for additional options for a denim/chambray shirt. So far, the J.Crew Vintage Chambray workshirt is at the top of my list, but I wouldnt mind something that is a little more tailored, lighter in color, and possibly cheaper. I would definately like the look of soft, well worn fabric. pic of the J.Crew shirt: http://images.jcrew.com/erez4/erez?s...if&tmp=prdDtIm

How does that RRL shirt fit (in relation to J.Crew)? There's one on ebay that's my size (M), and thinking about scooping it up.

The RRL is a bit slim/fitted. Never tried on the J crew one....but if it's anything like other J Crew pieces, the RRL will be slimmer.

Yeah I was looking for a chambray shirt too probably in like a darker indigo color. I saw that uniqlo had some but they were all sold out. I like something that is more workwear instead of western inspired. Anyone got suggestions?

I have that jcrew shirt. I had to size down one from my normal shirt size to get a slimmer fit, and it really fits nicely. The color is great too. I actually picked mine up at an outlet store for a fraction of retail price. Definitely a worthwhile purchase.

How much did you get it for?

picked up an RRL chambray from a polo outlet. pretty much the same one as the barney's co-op (lighter shade, i think) but at a fraction of the price. love finding deals. tried on the jcrew but felt the collar was too small.

I've been working with a tailor friend on some vintage-style chambray shirts for myself. He is a real workwear/western nut and we are using the e-workers site for reference: http://www.e-workers.net/items/items.htm Our last project was similar to this, but slimmed down for me and with a larger left pocket to accomodate the full length of a cigar. He made it from dark gray chambray with lighter gray stitching. Medium gray buttons. We're not sure what our next project will be, but I am leaning toward something with a cigarette pocket like this:

Have you check your local thrift stores.... That shirt looks like stuff thats kinda inline with what available. Allot of vintage stuff available. You'd be surprised with all the stuff people throw away in almost new condition selling for only like $5.

I'm probably going to pick up that RRL denim shirt. Can anyone confirm or deny that the fit is slimmer than the J.Crew vintage chambray?

I think it was in neighborhood of $40 (original outlet price was $60, then 30% off of that).
