Got my haircut this morning from my local barber. I went to him a couple of times and he did a good job but lately he's been unattentive and toning down on his customer service(he started cutting my hair w/o wetting it

) I used to be a barber and I know a few things but I'm looking for a great shop that has that old fashioned feel and is attentive, as well as classic. No buzz cuts, fades or designs.

Someplace around Mid-Town or Queens. Thanks.

I noticed my barber's hands were a little shaky last time I was there

Chelsea Barbers on 10th and 23rd is good. No appointments, but good service and all their barbers listen to you attentively. http://www.yelp.com/biz/chelsea-barbers-new-york I also went to Barber Barts a few times back when I worked near the Flatiron. Good service, too. The owner actually used to work at Chelsea Barbers before he started his own shop. http://www.yelp.com/biz/barber-barts-new-york http://www.barberbart.com/index.php?page=about.page I haven't been going to either since I figured out how to cut my own hair with excellent results, but would go back to either one of them in a heartbeat.

Anything remotely similar in DC? I go to Bang, but I've been looking for a barbershop. Heard some good things about Diego's.

Grooming Lounge is too much.
