No it's because it makes the average person feel "smart" so they can say sentences that start with "Did you know...".

Saw this last night. Was entertaining --less boring than Da Vinci. I must have missed something in the beginning though. Maybe someone can help me out. It's 5am at Harvard, the first murder is going to happen at 8pm in Rome. He makes it to Rome with plenty of time to spare to have a rapport with the other characters and do some research before 8pm. Italy is what, 6 hours ahead? and the flight from Boston to Italy would be 5 hours or so? Traffic to get to the airport, etc. Ugh, I'm overthinking this.
