What's the cheapest completely-legal pharmacy?

I need to get a prescription that my insurance won't cover and I'm wondering where I can buy it most cheaply. Brick and mortar or online are both fine, as long as the online pharmacy isn't Canadian/overseas.

I've found that Costco often has the cheapest prices on brand meds and you don't need to be a member to use the pharmacy. Do you have one in your area?

This site was the first to come up when I googled pharmacy price search:

http://www.pharmacychecker.com/

Seems to include the biggies.

I second Costco. Cheaper than any place I found in San Francisco without insurance

Call Costco & Sam's Club for a price quote. You do not need to be a member to use their pharmacy.

My pharmacist friends tell me they send uninsured to walmart for scrips. I would also check costco, if it were me.

There are generic drugs at Walmart, etc. that you can buy for $4 for a month's supply. I'm not sure if something his insurance wouldn't cover would be included but would be worth a shot. Also, I think that there is some kind of criteria you have to meet. Hopefully his doctor would have discussed this already if it were an option.

Costco is known as the lowest priced brick and mortar pharmacy in America.

But it would be worth comparing a specific drug's cost between Costco and Sam's Club.

I used to think that CVS and Walgreen's were quite competitive.

Then I paid about $108 at CVS for an Rx that was available at Costco for $43! Quite a difference.

Though they don't like to advertise it, I've found that many CVS and Walgreens will match the Costco price if you provide proof of their cost and especially if it's a recurring refill of the drug.

To me, it goes to show how outrageous the markup is for prescription drugs.

I'd check with you Walgreens. They have a prescription plan where you pay, like, 30 dollars a month and you get your medications for a very small copay. If you have to take the medication for a while, then this type of plan most certainly pays off.
