SuperBobo is a fine example of this, yes. Or, are you talking MC Hammer-style loose?

I think GoSurface looks very stylish in his looser fits.

Actually, the early adaptors have already moved onto this - looser tops (often deliberately oversized and drapey) with pegleg bottoms. I'd say that the majority of designers have moved on from fitted. Just check out the latest runway collections, lookbooks from small designers like KZO, and so on.

But if you're a mesomorph, you'd be well advised to stick with fitted.

Yes. It is a bit more difficult than slim jeans/slim shirt/slim laceups. You have to think about your proportions, the way things drape on your body, and the materials you're wearing a bit more so it requires a bit more thought to do well. I like dressing in looser clothes at times or mixing up some looser and slimmer stuff but whenever i feel lazy, i'll just throw on some slim stuff, as it's much easier.

Then again, if you're more hinting that people should just wear baggy clothes from the gap or something, i don't think it's gonna work out quite how you want. Looser silhouettes can look real nice, but i'm not sure exactly what the OP is getting at.

Depends on your body type

I think I am too short/not skinny enough to get any drape going, unless I get a designersheep ala sufu type fit going on, which could work with my body type

I don't know man. I'm short and not that skinny, but I do like wearing looser fits, and think they look alright.
