It looks like their bacon burger is a winner. Tyke orders a small bacon burger along with small cajun fries tomorrow?

If it was me, I would get two small burgers with different toppings, and of course fries!

Any place that has a specialized tool used to measure and put extra fries in the bottom of the bag is alright in my book! Grilled cheese w/ Lettuce, Tomato, Grilled Onions, and A1 is also delish.

Yea. I noticed that for the first time the other day. How could you not love that?

I love the burgers, and the fries are AMAZING! But beware, I have a pretty hearty appetite but sharing an order of fries is not a bad idea. They give you a lot!

Yea, at least the ones I visit and the wait isn't bad. If you get fries be prepared to eat a ton of them, split them with a friend or take them home. They give you a coffee cup of them and after the cup is full they dump in about 2x more into the bag.

+a million. I understand they're worried about liability, but let the customers live on the edge a little.

To the OP: Get whatever toppings you like.

Can you get beer at Five Guys, or is this strictly a fountain-soda type of place? I'm not really down with having a burger without a beer....

No beer served in the locations I've been to around DC.

You could get it to go and have a beer with your burger at home. You wouldn't be missing much in ambiance.

How are they cooked? Medium rare is where it's at. Medium would take the edge off, IMHO. Are they cooked well(done)?

Is Five Guys better than In-N-Out?

They are cooked well done. You have no choice in the matter.

Mmm, I'm starting to consider having Five Guys for (my considerably late) lunch today.

I find it kind of funny that people from Columbus, who consider that place a city and urban, are just getting their first Five Guys, when there are 3 different Five Guys locations within 10 minutes of my office (and 1 location within about 3 minutes) in good old New Jersey.
