Were there any customs fees? What do you mean by extra/unexpected?

Got the monks. No customs fees on my end, shipping was also very quick at 2 days from payment date mark and the dark shoe trees were pretty cool as well. And yes, I took a good look at the (new?) snazzy catalogue. Nice MTOs examples inside. Buckles are indeed gold.

Alright, so I think I want to take the plunge and buy a pair of bourtons. Honestly, I don't dress up often, so they would be worn with jeans most of the time. Question is: what is the best color to get? Or what color goes with more?

Also, as for sizing. I normally wear a 9.5-10. What would be a safe bet on size?

Thanks.

Yeah, no customs via DHL on my Tricker's order.

Stranger, I was just looking at my CC statement from last month.
For some reason Tricker's refunded me $33 from my recent ebay purchase.
I'm wondering if it was for VAT.

Sorry for the crotch shot...

The double monks is pretty versatile. Looks narrow at first but pretty comfortable.

Any idea what models use the 7395 last?

x-post from the shoe porn thread.

Picked up these Trickers Chelsea boots from their eBay shop.

Coffee Brown, with what Trickers describe as a London Waist. The waist is quite narrow and has a bevel on it.

They've been worn a couple of times and are very comfortable, a bit of saphir on the toes has bought out the burnishing.

I have the Bourton in Acorn, and Marron Antique. Recommend Acorn. It will age beautifully. I'm a size 10 (UK). I take 9.5, fit 5 in Bourton.

The Bourton is on the 4444 last which means you should definitely size down from whatever size you take in the Stow (4497 last)

Many thanks

I picked them up a while back when the prices were £185. Really chuffed with them.

I really like the Stow or Bourton in Acorn. Are the width fittings on the large side. I normally take a 11 G or H. As these shoes only come in the size 5 width fitting which Trickers say is the F equivalent they'd probably be too small though???? They've gone up in price a lot.
