Mrs. Teacher watches it. I think it's an insipid, useless waste of time.

I don't know why there has to be a reality show based off of every fictional show. And why should I care about a bunch of pampered cougars from OC, New York or New Jersey?

I believe this particular series just started last night.

Yes, it did, and she watched it. But it's the same concept as the other ones:

Is this an actual show? I spent a few days in Newark, I'm not sure I really want to know what the housewives were doing.

They've got Italians in NJ ?
Hey, who knew ?

why would anyone waste their time watching this ??? What would possibly be "different" about it? its the same manufactured drama / glorified lifestyle reality crap that is on every other show.

I don't know as I haven't seen any of the other shows. I read that these (i.e. the Joizey gurrlz) are different from the other groups. How, I'm not sure. Maybe more sympathetic - they are all actually friends, rather than a group of random trophies thrown together to make a show. This could possibly make the drama seem 'less manufactured', no? Another (supposed) difference is that this group is completely lacking in any pretensions toward 'class' or upward social mobility. This would make them less reprehensible (in my book) than the status-seekers from the other versions of the show, and could provide for some 'real' comedy, as opposed to merely eliciting empty feelings of schadenfreude...

I would just like to say that I've thus far managed to avoid pretty much any of this so-called Reality TV since the genre began. Now, my friends who long to tell me of the latest happenings on The Real Bachelorettes with the Stars who got Talent....well, I just nod my head and go along.

I did inadvertantly offend an old friend who happened to shoot the first few seasons of The Hills, but hey...can't win 'em all.

Haven't seen it yet, but I will check it out since it's my patriotic duty to explore everything Jersey related.

I'm holding out for a reality show based on the making of the office.

Me too, the only programs that resemble reality TV that I watch is porn.

This is surely the worst show of all time.
