Congratulations to Parker, the winner of the first Howard Yount tie design challenge! The order will go in soon, with ties to follow in around 6-8 weeks.

The Challenge: design a striped silk knit tie for Howard Yount. The Competition: strong, with many excellent entries. The Prize: the winning design will be custom made for us in Italy (with a flat end and/or pointed end) and available on our site within a month or two, with the winner getting a complimentary tie in their design.

This will be tough. I'm slightly disappointed by the lack or purple and green

^ I like others to have a shot at the brass ring every now and then

So many submissions and we have no dots?

Edit: Lol, obviously I didn't know that this is a striped tie contest...

I must say, I'm pretty impressed with most all of the entries. That being said, my vote has to go to Parker on this one.

Yeah man, I hate a striped tie contest with no dots.

I'd be wary of selecting too complicated a pattern. A horizontal stripe is already quite strong.

I don't even think my best entry made it to the finals, to be honest - and mine weren't the best of the bunch. It's hard to vote because they're all nice. Can they all be made?

edit: mine were the best, vote ROBASAURUS so I can have a free tie!

For some reason I like Parker's, I think it would look very cool as a knit and I would definitely be tempted to pick one up if it is the winner.
