went to see earth today because it seemed like the only thing i could take a 4 year-old to. he was bored after 5 minutes and i was bored after 15. it has its moments, but overall there wasn't much you couldn't get from watching nature on television. don't waste your money.

The footage was cut from Planet Earth, which was amazing. I won't see it because I've seen all of that series, but I really can't imagine that it's bad.

it's not bad, just not any more interesting than a television show. i paid $60 including tix and refreshments for something we could have seen on pbs.

Great BBC footage with American narration that makes everything seem just that much less spectacular? No thanks. One degree of separation from Free Willy.

The 11-part Planet Earth series is phenominal, fwiw. The kind of thing your hi-def televisions were made for.
