People visiting always ask why there's an articulated tap above the range... I don't blame them, I had never heard of a pot-filler before this place either.
Damn, I'd never heard of one til just now. I am working on my own new kitchen - this goes on the list.

Apparently the previous owners were really into cooking... Here's another one for you: have you heard of a plate warmer before? One of the big drawers in the island is one of these. Obviously, we've never used it.

I use the oven as a plate warmer at times. It would be nice to have one of those drawers.

Pio, here is my granite. It's one of those you'll love it or hate it things. kitchen is still a work in progress.
Ed:
We went granite shopping today. So I poasted what the bar will have (and we'll use the rest of that slab in some a guest bathroom).
So, here's what we picked the kitchen. Imagine a 5 x 11, entire slab as our island

Beautiful, Pio. If I'm correct it is the granite commonly known as 'Kinawa' yes? I love it because it is so thematic due to the ptygmatic folds. Congrats.
The slab warehouse was calling it "Indian Parana." I pulled up images of Kinawa off Google, and they sure look similar. There's similar images for an Indian Parana search too.
We'll be using the Juparana Eldorado for my bar, and one spare bathroom, then Juparana St. Cecelia for our master bath, the powder room, and the other spare bathroom.
