Strange hair problem :/

I seem to keep having this hair problem which keeps coming up and I've searched and searched but can't see to find ANY reference to it.

On my face I get these thicker than usual hairs growing at a much faster rate than the rest of them. Sometimes the area can be a tiny bit painful. When I pull the hair out, it has absolutely no root, and often has a sharp bend In it and has a LONG bit of it under the skin.

I also get these on my left arm :/ does anyone know what the hell these are called so I can look them up? They rarely get trapped so arnt ingrowing hairs for sure (also as they don't have a root)

Who have you been sleeping with recently?

Maybe you are growing nose hairs outside your nose? I wouldn't worry about it too much, you could have much worse hair problems (like having it all fall out, forever). On the topic of nose hairs, they are funny things. Sometimes when I pluck them they don't hurt at all and I can virtually yank them out of my nose. I know it SHOULD hurt and I cringe in sympathetic pain for myself, but I feel nothing. Other times, even the merest tug can send shocks of pain spiralling through my head. Also, they curve funny. Also, I bought one of those nose-hair clippers that you can stick up your nostrils a while ago. What an amazing invention those are, I highly recommend them.
