How will she know what she wants if she hasn't ever had alcohol before?

Honestly, there is very little that you will be able to buy her that will be any good whatsoever. You could probably make her a variety of decent cocktails. The best, unfortunately for you, is something called the Lady in White, and though I have a recipe, I am not free to disclose it. If you are interested in making her something, tell me about her usual tastes in drinks (obviously not alcoholic and foods, and we shall see. I'm serious, this is my specialty. ~ Huntsman

Go for the trifecta: Panty Dropper, Sex on the Beach, and then the Mind Eraser. Works perfectly.

i'll either buy them a mind eraser or blowjob, but cosmos, tequila sunrises, or any other sort of fruity mixed drink are usually acceptable

You have to START with the mind eraser. Then: Long island Iced Tea, follwed by smoker's phlegm and cement mixer. Then two shots of tequila. Best birthday ever.

Gin Gimlet.

^ Rail gin.

Ok, the Gimlet's not a bad suggestion. I've been mulling this over and will recommend that you make her this drink. It's from the '30s. The Savoy Corpse Reviver II 2 oz good Gin (I suggest you use Hendrick's or Martin Miller) 0.5 oz Cointreau 0.5 oz. Lillet Blanc 0.75 oz Lemon Juice 0.5 oz Simple Syrup Add the above to a shaker filled with ice. Shake very hard and strain into a cocktail (otherwise known as a Martini) glass. Serve with a twirl of lemon peel, squeezing the peel over the drink to express the oil on the surface of the drink. It tastes lemony and elegant, but is complex and balanced by the with the herbal and mildly junipery notes from the gin. I suggest Hendrick's for its undertones of angelica root, as well as the rose petals that flavor it (which is something you can also explain and reap points for). It will blow away anything you can buy at 99.95% or more of the bars in the country. Done right, it more or less looks like this: The French 75 would also be a great option, and I'll post a recipe tomorrow. ~ H

Wow, that looks amazing. I didn't have time to actually prepare her a drink but next time I see her I'll see if I can make this. Thanks!
