Three current-production options I've not tried but have read about include:
O de Lancome (marketed towards women, but so what?)
Diorella (a tad melon-y, so I hear)
Chanel Cristalle in the EdT formulation (EdP is too different)
Of the three, I'd try Cristalle first.
re: Kenzo Tokyo - have not tried, but the descriptors sounds a bit like Herrera for Men (ginger, citrus) and to a lesser extent, Caron Third Man. Third Man, though, is hardly manly at all - between the ginger and jasmine, there's not much butching-up to do.
thanks for that. i'm ordering a mini of the signoricci to try it out. i will also give the herrera a try. i have a feeling i've tested it before and did not like it, but i'll make sure.

Soleil di Capri . You can try
http://www.suravionline.com/ and request a sample. It is a citrus scent but the composition is unique and it is by far, the longest lasting citrus scent I have. If you like Lime/Citrus scent, you can also try Bond No.9's Nouveau Bowery. It last a good four hours on me.
thanks. i e-mailed them for a sample. have you seen this website?

they carry the full line of montale, in different sizes, and they have a brick and mortar store on beverly blvd.
