Most of these are ebay purchases, and most are vintage. This is picture I took a few months back of what I had then: The sterling knots are Jos. A Bank from ebay, the Tiffany barbells are sterling and given to me by my wife for our anniversary. The second set of barbells are sterling Brooks Brothers from ebay. The others are vintage.
Alan, I just got the exact same pair of snap cufflinks as the middle ones in your picture - see the thrift thread. Interesting. Edit: I am not going to go and count, but I'm sure I'm in the 20-30 range or higher now.

17, but I only wear 3 or 4 on a regular occassion. Many came in lot sales on Ebay that I only bid on for one pair. In fact I think one lot had like 8 pair of them. Most were crap, but one pair is great. Another lot had 5 maybe. Again, one good, the rest kind of crap. bob.

Same situation here. I've bidded on massive 20-30 cufflink lots, just to get one that looks great, and hoping that a few turn out to be useful. Finally got a lot at a price I liked, with 4 or 5 useful links. But now I wanted the double sided pairs, not the turnback links.... Btw - anybody have any tips for sprucing up old links? I'll like to shine up a few of the silver toned links.

Try a Sunshine Polishing Cloth. I've had good success with it. One thing to be aware, however, is that on vintage links a bit of patina isn't a bad thing. That said, I still like to give them a going over with the Sunshine cloth, just don't get overly aggressive.

And that is now my aim. I'm only bidding or looking for double-sided ones. In fact, I think I just missed the end of an auction for an absolutely gorgeous pair where none of the bids met the reserve. Too bad. bob

The two on the right in the second picture are 14k white gold front Belais. The top center snap links have a blue X pattern over mother of pearl. The lower left are a robin egg blue celluloid. And after reading ernest now I know what that metal smell was...
The balls are not too bad but very common. All the others are exactly the kind of links i don't like.

Ahhh....don't get all worked up over it.   It's just Ernest being Ernest.  I knew I would get some sort of response like that when I posted.
Poor you = now because you don't understand IRONY... All my links are like yours so telling poor you = irony for people who told me they were crap because not double side.

It's five minutes later and I still laugh when my eyes pass over this topic. I actually have a single pair. A gift from my father. I've never really needed more than that so far, since I only got my first French cuff shirt two weeks ago. Before that, I'd wear a tux maybe a couple of times a year, and one was enough. Now though I'm looking at the ones that you gents posted and many of them look damn pretty.

So why do you want to compare with someone with a low IQ? May be because they are the only people you can impress by talking about income or IQ ? You seem to have a lack of self esteem. I bet the root is your slim penis...
