If you wanna make Chicago style dogs and cant get Vienna beef then Kosher best will work. Whatever dog you use it should be all quality beef with no fillers and have a natural casing.

I've been eating Dodger Dogs since I was old enough to eat solid food. I even buy the large box in the frozen food section at Smart & Final, so I can make one for myself a couple times every month.

i was in iceland last month and had the BEST hotdog Ive ever had. I want one so bad right now.

Regular bun with a bottomings - bacon, fried onion, regular onion, and relish. Then topped with a natural cased dog mixed with Lamb meat. Mmmm... the snap of the frank was amazing. and topped off with a single line of mayo/mustard mix. It was sooo good. Bill Clinton called them the best in world, and thats a man that knows his frank.

Chicago dogs are really good char-broiled. By tradition they are steamed though.

Did anyone actually mention "ny dogs"? I didn't even know there was such a thing as a ny dog... I've seen the cincinnati ones and they're gross too. I just like a simple backyard bbq hot dog without all this nonsense stacked on it - is that a "ny dog"?

Well, they do "answer to a higher authority."

I love Chicago hotdogs, but usually go without the hot peppers. My family is in Chicago and every time I visit I make at least one hot dog run.
