Anyone else here have a hard-on for Morris stuff?

I have a Springfield 1911 .45 acp that I have had since I was a kid (late eighties). I had it customized during the late nineties, fixed rod, barrel throated, ejector port lowered, bo-mar sites, trigger-hammer-grip safety tuned, and mag well beveled, with a combat finish and pachmayr grips. It looks menacing, and shoots like a rifle.

I agree it is overkill if you have to carry something concealed, which I do not have to as I neither own a liquor store, jeweler, or pawn shop. Nor am I a police officer, judge, or engaged in a controversial business in a rural part of the US.

Grateful to to have it nearby (with eight-round clips filled w/180gr. Hydra-shock), however, if someone makes the mistake to attempt entering my house uninvited, looking to do harm.

A bit of an aside, but is Hydra-shock all that it's made out to be? I hear from many people that it's just a marketing ploy.
