execshirts.com BEWARE!

I have learned a lot by reading this board. I recently had a very bad MTM dress shirt experience with execshirts.com. I want to warn everybody not to use this company.

I paid $90 for a MTM poplin dress shirt. I provided exact measurements from another dress shirt for execshirts to copy. When I received the shirt:
1) Most of the measurements were +/- 2" from what I specified
2) The shirt was supposed to be tapered -- except one side had a curve taper and the other had a straight linear taper. It literally looked like the shirt was cut by a blind person.
2) The quality of the fabric was very poor with multiple snags in the fabric
3) The shirt buttons were imprinted with "exec shirts" (really classy!)

I have contacted the company and asked for them to remedy this situation. I went through the usual process of starting nice, getting more aggressive, and eventually threatening them with a credit card company dispute.

The only thing they have offered is to redo the shirt -- except I will have to pay return shipping for the awful shirt that they sent (about $19) and new shipping for the remake of the shirt (another $19). All told, I can have a MTM dress shirt for $128 made out of horrible fabric.

Please avoid this company!

My battery ran out before I could get any closeups, but here is the awful tapering problem. See how its curved on the left side and linear on the right side?

It's difficult to say what's the source of the problem -- your measurements or their manufacturing. I'd suggest sending them one of your best fitting shirts to copy, then there is no excuse for mistakes.

it's hard to see what kind of measurement error on the op's part could have resulted in the asymmetry of the shirt. i think it is very unreasonable for the seller to refuse a refund in this case, and i think the op would be on firm ground taking the dispute to his credit card company.

Exactly. No measurement should have resulted in that asymmetry.

Ortho, I'm sorry you had the problem with Execshirts. I ordered one shirt from them and it was perfect. With MTM pants, (From another company), I have received a different fit with two pair even though they supposedly used the same measurements. Maybe a different person made them. Apparently, if you cannot try on a garment before buying, it is a gamble.

That's why I don't even bother reading about other online shirt companies. There is only that's jantzen. It might take them a month - Ricky used the exact measurements I sent him. In addition, I think his shirts are as good as some of the $200 RTW shirts if not better.

Initiate the chargeback with the credit card company. Tell them that the quality of the item was not as described. Be prepared to supply evidence (e.g. the pics in this thread) and to ship the shirt back to the company (provide a tracking number). You will get your $90 back and be out just the cash to ship the shirt back at most.

of course not true...the website has a 30 day guarantee where a shirt can be returned without issue..and as the person later in this post mentions...we have a solid reputation of quality.

That's great customer service; come back 2.5 years after the fact and say, "of course not true...!"

You've sold me.

Never even heard of them but they sound as corny as hell. Where did you find them, the back of Skymall?

And in OP's case, it looks like a different person made the left and right sides of the shirt.
