Is corduroy back in vogue?

I own this old school briefcase made expressedly for Neiman Marcus which has mainly brown corduroy exterior with chesnut brown leather trimmings. I usually take this case with me; it matches my slacks. I am hoping to make a trip to NY this summer so Scott S. (Mr. Sarto) can take a picture. Then, corduroy will really be in vogue.

Been trying to find some of those EG corduroy pants for a while now, or in general just a nice pair of slim fitting brown corduroy pants. My car's interior (1987 volvo 240dl) is mainly made out of corduroy. ***** great in the winter.

I love corduroy. I wear it every year. I've got blazers, shirts, and pants. All narrow-wale.
What do you guys think of corduroy suits? Thinking about getting a slim one in dark brown or black.
Something like this image below. But please disregard the fact that he's clutching silk, wearing sunglasses inside, possibly wearing purple shoes, and generally looking like an ass.
