Fitted jeans for a big guy.

Hi all!

I am in search of a pair of slim, well fitted jeans and as a result I've been sifting through various posts on SF in search of reviews and opinions. I've narrowed my search down to a favourite pair - Acne Mic Raven wash jeans. These jeans are just my style and look absolutely awesome.

There is, however, a small dillema: I am between a 38" and 40" waist, (Closer to 38"), I have large calves and large thighs. (I'm not overwieght, just big!) I don't think Acne makes these jeans in my size, and if so, whether they will fit nicely.

My measurements are as follows:
Waist - 39"
Hips: 45"
Thigh - 27.5" (at the largest part)
Calves - 18.5" (at the largest part)

What are your opinions? Does anyone know where I could go about getting a pair of Acne Mic raven wash jeans in my size? What other standard fit jeans would you all recommend for a guy my size?

Sorry guys! Ignore the "fitted" in the title - Jeans for a big guy!

I like the Acne Mic raven wash, I want to know if they would fit me nicely, given the big thighs and calves. (If they do come in a 38" waist)

Also any other recommendations anyone may have - preferably jeans that fit and look similar to Acne Mic.

I'm a pretty big guy too and wear a 38 waist. I know you were asking for a wash but in raw I own the APC rescue and they fit well, sized 35 although I could have gone with a 36 and been fine. I also own the Ande Whall cougars and they are a great fit. Very comfortable and very well made. Both are straight leg. With your bigger dimensions anything slim or skinny fit will look too tight, a straight leg will still be slim. Both of the jeans I mentioned were straight cuts and are still a slim fit on me without being too skinny.

In a wash, I know that the Nudie Average Joes are an easier fit, I'd size down to a 36 on those though. Maybe you'd be ok with a 38 if you are close to a 40 but my 38's are kinda big on me. Besides that I'm not as up on my washes as I am on raw. Hopefully some of this rambling was of some help.

I love my Iron Hearts 634s - a slimmish straight leg. Not cheap, but they will last for years. APC Rescues are also great for a lot less $$.

dior MII 36 would work also, 21cm might be best. i wore them for a long time and my thighs and calves are about the same size as the OP's.

correct me if I'm wrong but the leg openings are huge on the larger sizes of the 634s. But at your size you probably have big feet anyway.

The Naked and Famous Slim Guy in 36 would probably work too. I'm about an inch off your leg measurements, but I take a 34 and they fit me great. For our larger-legged customers (me included), these jeans are a godsend.
