Moving to NYC this summer for 10-12 weeks...Need your advice!

Ok, so I'm moving to NYC this summer for a paid internship. I think I will be making somewhere around 700-800 a week. I really need to find a place to stay for such a short time and I need to have this place ASAP, need your suggestions! I have looked into both NYU and Columbia and found their rates a little high for a dorm, something like 300ish a week. For that price I was told I could find something in Manhattan and I definitely don't mind room mates at all!

Does anyone on SF need a room mate for such a short duration(I know this is a long shot)? I guess I really don't need to be in Manhattan or anything but would like to have less than a 25 minute commute.

Looking for an empty closet,
Richard

Thank you. Feel free to pm me if you have information you don't want to share on the board.

$800 before or after taxes? I'm sure you can find a nice place with roomates for around $800-ish a month if you craigslist things a little and call upon your network of friends...

SoCal's diamondplate flooring looks a bit lonely.

Before taxes. I have enough savings to get me through, it's not really about that. I don't expect to make much money. I'll do some searching, thanks Fuuma.

I don't know what gave you the idea I'm a baller. I'm 24 and not a trust-fund baby. Were you expecting a 3-bedroom overlooking Central Park?

Whenever I took the time to imagine you, I thought you were like a 29-31 year old, relatively successful businessman. I didn't know you were so young Want to trade studios for a week?
