PS:  Marc...Does this thread have anything to do with that now locked other thread?
YOU SEE... I warned you guys about posting on that topic..

Way too many people to list but a short list would include Hermes, Alex Kabbaz, LA Guy (I need to correct his politics :-) ), Carlo, Jill, all the Canadians (particularly those in Montreal), JLibourel, Fabienne (I've only been in France once and she seems cool)...I could go on ad infinitum. I'd hold the biggest dinner party possible if I could get a bunch of you up here :-)

I'd wear a Huntsman db tuxedo 6x2 tuxedo in black with the lining embroidered by Lesage France in an Aubrey Beardsley design of Salome holding St.John's head.

I think I know why arrogant doesn't like me, especially since he put me in with Get Smart (in the "people he would like to meet).  He doesn't seem to get that regular dudes without oodles of money or incredible looks can get the girl (occasionally) and meet interesting people (although I've never met Dita von Teese like Get Smart has), and go to interesting places (for him, these are "upscale" clubs, apparently).   Here's the secret: grow a personality.  Don't be afraid to talk to people.  And when you do, be genuinely interested and interesting.

Do you own this?  I would love to see this... so decadent. People I'd especially like to meet whom I haven't already: Kabbaz -- because I owe him big t4phage -- for double-teaming marc37 Andy, of course, the host with the most. ernest, although if he asks where's my towel I'd tell him my car just hit a water buffalo. Panzeraxe -- we seem to have complementary taste in clothes. cuffthis -- he'll always be an equity partner of styleforum for me. And my dream is to have a library like that someday.   bry2000 -- I think we could share tailoring stories.   marc37, but only through one of those one-way mirrors they use in the labs in the monkey house in the zoo. Fab, because she seems really cool. Thracozaag -- hopefully with a full collection box for his Edward Green fund naturlaut -- especially in tandem with Thracozaag, and in the bespoke Aubercys. jcusey and bengalstripe -- I think we could have a shoe conversation for hours. Lennie Logsdail, though he hasn't posted here in donkey's years. Carlo and Jill, it goes without saying. How cool are they? Lindsay. johnapril: a liberal into $1000 boots -- right up my alley.  plus the entire Kiton tweed coat thing. How could I forget, maybe most of all, David Bresch (kung fu grip not included).

Not yet. But I would plan to own it. Worn with a dyed green carnation as a boutonierre.

I've been fortunate enough to meet apprx 20 people coast to coast. Always gentlemen, always interesting. I'd like to (finally) meet J... Next time I'm in Portland, maybe we'll meet in the middle.

If only I could get Whnay to accept an invitation... I'd subject him to the ultimate French torture for recalcitrant Americans: The 5 hour sit-down dinner a la Babette's Feast.

If I feel merciful, he gets a trou normand between the two main dishes.

If he survives until then. Foie gras poelle tends to be a killer.

I like. My defection to Freedom is scheduled for December -- will you feed me some then?

Oh, for you, the torture level would need to be upped.
