Feeling fresh throughout the day.

At my job, the single people like to go out after work to a bar or movie or wherever. The thing is, after a 8-10 hour shift, plus eating and going out, the whole thing is about 12-15 hours long. During this time I cant take a shower, change clothes, wash my face etc... and I start feeling really "greasy". I cant really describe the feeling, but its not very clean or fresh. How can I refresh my self in the middle of the day? thx

You should definitely be able to wash your face in a bathroom sink. I don't see why not. If you live in a country with no running water, try those facial oil wipes.

I could, but I have somewhat dry skin. So unless I carry moisturizer with me to use after I wash my face I'll be worse off than I started.

wow, thanks for the really, really quick replies.

So you feel greasy even while having dry skin? I personally have a somewhat oily t-zone after 12 hours of working so I'll just freshen up in the sink and I'll be good to go. If you are dry-skinned though, wouldn't that mean that you be definition would not be oily?

He probably has combination skin. My t-zone is always greasy while the rest of my face is very dry. I'd recommend using a toner on your t-zone to the OP. I use Baxter's of California Herbal Mint Toner and it works great. The rest of my face I just wash, dry, then apply moisturizer/lotion.

Also, you can just wash the oily part of the face. This is what I generally do.

I'm surprised you didn't bring up baby powder, kyle.

I find that using those Clean and Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets work wonders for degreasing and making you feel fresher on the face. It is also strangely satisfying to see the sheets go from blue to translucent...

You might want to a keep a small grooming bag in your desk or car, stocked with the important stuff: toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, mouthwash, maybe even a small bar of soap. You can also keep a clean shirt, socks, etc. somewhere nearby, in case you need them. Just take a quick restroom break to wash up and change your shirt before joining your co-workers for drinks or dinner. I often see colleagues and friends do this here in Southern California, where the climate can be uncomfortably warm in the spring & autumn and miserably hot in the summer.

Usually just before the end of my day I duck into the men's room and wash my face, use some q-tips on my ears, check the nose-hair situation and trim if necessary, touch up my shave with a battery shaver, moisturize, hit the pits with baby wipes, reapply deodorant, powder, and splash on a little cologne. I also wash off my nads and freshen up the backside with baby wipes. Powder goes there as well. That's why when I go out the bitches all swarm on me.
