I want to get a pair of Raw Denim. I like the dark colors and the shine on it. But from what I understand, you're not supposed to wash them in order to keep that color? Don't they feel grime?

Sorry if I offended you by asking the question. I have been reading and most people dont seem to wash them, but I think that its rather gross, so I was wondering if anyone had any other opinions...

To be honest with you, most of my posts have been regarding eyewear/sunglasses. Im still a newb.

The real question is now that I'm wearing raw denim and not washing them and feeling great about it...why should I wash my other jeans? Seems like a waste of time/effort.

How long do you go before washing them? OR have you?

They don't feel grimey at all (unless you spill things on them). I've gone 4 months or so and not had the slightest problem with regard to smell. The only real reason that I washed them at that point was that curiosity got the best of me, but it definitely wasn't necessitated by anything.

As for the shine, it goes away when they're washed but can come back on the points that show wear (theighs, etc).

Most people don't wash them for 6 months or so, so that they can take on their own identity and wear patterns based on how you wear them.

Yeah after a while you will have to wash them becuase I am sure they will smell like high holy hell, but you should prolong it as long as possible with as many wears as possible.
