San Francisco Warhol exhibit!

I know there is a sizeable Frisco SF contingent. Has anyone been to the Warhol album cover show at the de Young? I'd like to see it. Everyone knows VU and Sticky Fingers, but I had no idea he did over 50 covers!

I saw it during one of their night events. Very large, very good exhibit, imo. Spans his career and includes the album covers, film, painting, sculpture, magazine covers, etc.

Uhhh... I went to the Warhol party in Emeryville. That was sick.

You people on the coasts have it so good, SO GOOD.

Up until February there was a large Warhol exhibit at my school. I only saw a few things unfortunately. Is this the same one? Or is it just album covers?

It's a traveling exhibit, check if it'll hit your place in one way or another.

One can only look at Warhol for so long. Those Friday Night parties at the DeYoung are a bit frightening--lots of people who probably have PBS bumper stickers on their station-wagons boogieing down to cheesy live bands. I saw the recent YSL exhibit there; it was nice in that I went with a friend who works at YSL and thus got free "VIP" tickets, which weren't very VIP at all.

I saw it too and thought of you. Btw, I picked up a bunch of 1970's design magazines for you at an estate sale.
