Baring your boxers

Do you on occasion wear pants that reveal a bit of your underwear? I know it's quite crude, but sometimes it can't be helped. I have a pair of low-rise jeans that no matter how much I push down my boxers they eventually ride up and peek up over the jeans by about half an inch. I do have my polos cut a little short so that they hang about half-way over the belt buckle -- and thereby covering my boxers -- at rest. But if I stretch, my boxers and a bit of mid-riff are shown.

I do have very colorful and bold patterned boxers, so they're not anything I'm embarassed about. It's just the mere fact that I am baring some underwear at all that I fear may be construed as indecent. I also sometimes try to do some color matching with my underwear, similar to the way one would match socks.

What do you think? Am I an obscene pig?

my single biggest "style pet peeve" are doods who wear pants WITH a belt and it still sags so low that you can see about 3-6" of boxer. Â this doesnt sound like the catastrophe that you have going on, but I cant support visible men's underwear. Â so my book says your pants are too low or your shirts are too short. Â since you seem to like both, i guess that's just an occupational hazard and there isnt much you can do about it. however, matching underwear because you KNOW it will be visible is a sign of total fagosity, so *please* don't go there. Â

*one thing you could do (hich may cramp your style) is to wear a wifebeater underneath that is long so it tucks into your pants and your bare midriff/underwear never shows

What the hell is a "total fagosity"? Anyway if you don't want to have your boxers "ride up" either wear longer boxers or simply briefs.

The obvious solution is not to wear any underwear - but then we are treading dangerously on wheatgrass/midstream urine sampling ground, so I won't go there...

Maybe wear your underwear on the outside of your pants? Couldn't be much worse than sporting your boxer-cuffs like Eminem...

With my low-rise jeans, it's impossible for me to sit down without showing some of my boxers. I avoid it at all costs once I get up, but when seated, it's either an inch or two of underwear or an inch or two of asscrack. I, and I imagine most of the public, prefer the former.

One odd variation I saw in Penn Station NYC on Sunday, on a guy who looked to be about 18.

T shirt and low rise jeans, but the tails of the t shirt were not way long but too long to show his underwear so....he had folded his underwear carefully over the waist of his jeans, so that the logo'd waistband would show below the line of the t shirt. Underwear was Polo, btw.

Its no big deal. A half-inch is nothing man I always show some if I pull up my shirt. People are used to it.

i think you should wear a thong. hey, it works for the chicks...

although come to think of it, i've been seeing more and more crack cleavage lately on the females, and it's sometimes downright disturbing.

I haven't worn boxer shorts in years. It's funny how what's cool flips back and forth between briefs and boxers. I remember when boxers were supposedly old man underwear. I'll probably end up switching to boxers right when everyone goes back to briefs.

I was just about ready to hit the shower before going to bed when I opened this thread. I'm sitting here in low-rise PDC jeans, no shirt, briefs, and a belt. If I lean forward, there's no way ****** crack is going to show and I don't think the briefs will show either. If showing your underwear bothers you, perhaps you could try briefs or boxer briefs. I think the waistband rides lower than that of boxers.

Personally, I really don't want to see other guys' underwear.

For what it's worth, GQ has approved of wearing colorful boxers with low-rise jeans on at least two occasions. Then again, I'm a regular detractor of the magazine.

you can also buy low rise underwear to solve this problem, usually found only in trunk style boxerbriefs and briefs though

yeah, instead of showing underwear, you'll show your buttcrack. Nice.

Just wear a longer shirt or tuck it in.
