Well it will definitely help you carry items around, if that is how you define real, then this is a real bag.

Wow, this is about as offtopic as threads go. Hope it doesn't detract from people potentially using this thread for real/fake authentication. I've decided not to buy the bag as I too was suspicious

Just an interesting note about the item, I noticed it's located in Japan ... while it's not impossible, counterfeit goods are very uncommon in Japan due to strict laws regarding counterfeit items. So I wouldn't write it off.

Hrm. :\\

Agreed. There's a huge showcase in Narita Airport about fake goods...complete with fake purses from every "high street" fashion house known to man.

I always stop by the showcase when I'm in Tokyo to see if they have anything new

For the more traditional designs I will buy them on ebay at some point, but since this is her first designer handbag I went and got one from the boutique.

95% of the bags on ebay are fake. The bag you posted is most likely fake because of a few telltale signs:

1) The seller is offering returns.

2) There are no detailed pics

3) The seller does not mention the two sites I gave you and is not a poupette verified seller.

4) and just realized... WAY too cheap.

this is the only decent suggestion in this thread so far. Bought an authentic lv bag myself through mypoupette, would highly recommend them. Be vary wary of buying second hand hangbags of any kind on ebay.

The authentic dealers have a hard enough time selling these things so they usually don't accept returns. The fake dealers don't want to have to worry about fighting ebay and paypal defending themselves so they accept returns.

after looking more at the original link, i noticed this: "Postage & Packaging of US$14.00 for hongkong registered air mail to worldwide." i think the seller put tokyo because hong kong usually screams "fake", and, as evidenced in this thread, people think japan is strict on fakes and this couldn't possibly be from japan and be a fake.

Haha, good catch. Definitely would guess it's fake, then.
