Customhide Briefcases, feedbacks needed.

I have one of these. Beautiful bags and great quality for the money. Only problem I have had is with some of the stuffing in the handle coming out but it's a minor issue.

I don't have a picture readily available. They do look like they look on the website.

sorry, no photos, but... pros: The leather is rock solid and extremely thick. The stitching is done with very wide thread - more like rope. The brass fittings are all solid. cons: Horrible construction. The top flap on mine isn't properly aligned, so the "male" end of the latch must be pulled a bit to the side to close the bag. This causes uneven stress on the straps, making one wrinkle with stress, while the other is loose and its brass buckle jingles. The embossing is also terrible, with obvious stamp marks around each letter.

Another thing, the shoulder straps attach to the sides instead of the top (as on the filson bag). This means that when you use the shoulder strap the top flap compresses, making it wrinkle. This may or may not bother you.

I have the scholar briefcase in black. Leather looks good and has held up well for a year and a half now with almost daily use. The strap is a little on the long side and hits my butt when walking. That's mainly cause I'm too lazy to actually go and get a new "belt" hole put in though. Really well made though - I carry fairly heavy groceries in it if I'm buying stuff on the way home.

In hindsight - I woulda gotten the bag in brown not black, but I do tend to wear a lot of black pants (as referenced in the Don't Wear Black thread - lol)

I haven't had this experience with the flaps, and don't have any monogramming so I can't comment on the second.
