Wolverine- the movie - Page 3

If they plan on making any more X-Men movies, they should just use Whedon's Astonishing X-Men as a blueprint (the cure for the mutant gene in X3 notwithstanding).

There has been some talk of a prequel movie called X-men: First Class

The X-Men: First Class series is actually pretty decent. Here's hoping.

I heard all these bad reviews, so maybe it was because I went in with low expectations but I rather enjoyed this movie. I like backstory and it was interesting. I mean some details bothered me a bit, but you have to remember the movies are their own versions of their respective universes and have a different continuity. And I'm ok with that, and I just try to connect it mentally with the other movies, not with the comics or animated series. In fact because of the long history of comics, those continuities are the most convoluted and it's kind of nice to see one that starts with a fresh slate. Oh and for the record the best universe in the comic world is the DC Animated Universe that Bruce Timm created, his batman and justice league series were, imho, perfect examples of what comics can be. The surface is basic and appeals to children, while there are undercurrents of humour and implication for the adults.
