I read one "pleasure" book and one technical book at a time, typically. The technical books take me a long time to get through, but I always finish the pleasure books quickly, and I never - even if I don't like the author - start a book and not finish it.

Generally one at a time, from start to finish.

These days I prefer to spend my reading time with the Greek and Latin classics, although I have taken a hiatus from Virgil's Georgics--too much unfamiliar agricultural vocabulary. Instead, I have been taking it easy by reading in the Latin Vulgate Bible, which is very simple, easy Latin.

JLib - I would not hesitate to wager that not only are you in the minority here, you are very possibly unique! Classicists (?) are a peculiar and interesting breed.....
