Sportsmen Wear for Tall Dudes

Normally, I'm an MC guy, but I'm trying to augment my weekend wear. I am looking for suggestions for a Filson/Barbour type waxed cotton coat that is built for tall men (I've 36" sleeves).

I know that Filson does make some extra long jackets. I was in the flagship store in Seattle the other day and I didn't like the styles that they had in the long sizes.

I'm looking for something that is closer to Filson's cover cloth rather than the tin cloth.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Filson has a custom MTM type program for some of their jackets (or they have in the past) - did you ask about it when you were in the store?

It may be a bit out of your usual sartorial universe, but Rick Owens is known for his overlong sleeves and hems. You can probably find a nice waxed jacket from his Drkshdw line with at least 36" sleeves if not longer.

What styles of Filson did you like? I'm tall and really like my Filson waxed bomber jacket.

Yes, a $2k goth ninja coat is the perfect addition to a traditional men's clothing wardrobe. Maybe something with lots of straps to evoke a bondage look too.

A lot of the mainline stuff is surprisingly minimal aside from the long cuts. I think something like this could mesh well with a classic wardrobe:

I'm a big fan of the All Season Raincoat. I like that it has a built in hood (and therefore does not have to be purchased seperately).

I'd love to find something very similar to this All Season Raincoat that can accommodate my arms.

It looks like when it comes to Filson the only thing in cover cloth is the Field Jacket.

why dont you try ralph lauren big and tall? they have the stuff online, and in store they could probably find you something suitable.

Thanks 4 the reply. Unfortunately all of the sportshirts in the B&T section are the Classic Fit.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the Classic Fit tend to be pretty blousy in the sides, back and sleeves, no?

Don't know how easy they're to find in the US but Eton with extra long arms works fine for me who is 6'4. I got it in their contemporary fitwhich compared to normal americna shirts is quite slim fitting
