The Return of Gordon Gekko

Gordon Gekko will return in a Wall Street sequel, currently called Wall Street 2.

Apparently Michael Douglas and Oliver Stone are involved and the story is based on today's financial headlines. Sounds cool to me.

Wonder who will do the clothes...

It could be great if well done. I just hope they don't completely botch the technical details.

Will the film open with a scene of Gordon Gekko walking out of prision a la DeNiro in Cape Fear?

I'd see it twice to see Gekko ousted by the government bailout people.

This has the chance to be great, or really bad. I hope they don't over-do Gekko, that is usually a big flaw in sequels. They take the original personality and blow it up. He needs to be the same prick, but understated.

I never saw Wall Street.

I doubt it's gonna live up to the original. Also, they've changed the story like five times now to stay with the current events.. Which kind of sucks. I just have a feeling it's gonna suck.

The plot in Wall Street was so obvious I could hear the screenplay writers scribbling in the background.

Yeah, I know...last I read, it was supposed to take place in London and be called Money Never Sleeps. Now they're going back to NY and bringing along Hollywoods new one-dimensional "it" boy. Let me guess, he'll play the part like he's hopped up on coke.

Dollars to donuts it will be Tom Ford or Armani or some other overhyped designer.

Still, it was fun to watch it unfold.

Looks like SF icon Gordon Gekko finally got out of prison: Oliver Stone and Michael Douglas are making Wall Street 2. Maybe Gekko will be appointed to run a newly nationalized bank and give a "Government is good" speech.

Did I mention I am entertained by the sound of scribbling?
