Do you have girl friends you don't want to sleep with?

Thread Starter
I'm friends with a couple of unattractive women who I don't want to sleep with, but I don't talk with them often. Then there are my friend's girlfriends, I guess I'm forced to be friends with them, but I don't talk about other women I want to bang with them.

I believe I only have one attractive female friend I don't want to sleep with (because I actually value her friendship), but she's still attractive and I would probably make some bad decisions should the opportunity present itself. Either that or I have the ghey.

Attractive girls have attractive lady friends. Keep your access open to her friends by not banging your attractive lady friend.

They are attractive so by default I would like to bang them. At the same time, I would never because after you bang them, they won't be friends. I literally have no problem going out for drinks, shows, letting them crash in bed with me, etc. If anything it's nice to have these attractive girls to go out with to look good, make other girls jealous, etc. etc. There's so many attractive and easy girls out there, why blow a friendship? Go out to the bar, hit on a bunch of chicks, scope out for which ones look lonely and loose and try to make something happen for a night. Preferably go back to their place, wake up early and run off with their carton of orange juice...

While the original post isn't the most articulate thing in the world, I think it brings up an important, messy truth about the world: platonic friendships are largely a myth.

In all seriousness I think heterosexual male friendships are sometimes tinged with sexual tension, let alone heterosexual male/female friendships.

I have two kinds of female friends: the ones I've slept with before and unattractive ones I haven't slept with. I'm actually better friends with the women in the latter category.

-1 I have many platonic female friends, and almost all are attractive, but I just do not care for the relationships to develop beyond being just friends.

I don't have any female friends, period. I don't believe in platonic relationships with women, period.

+1, I have a lot of female friends...it would be pretty absurd if I wanted to smash them all. Dunno, I'm not attracted to people with certain types of personalities who I may be friends with so...yeah. If they're not attractive enough and/or their persona doesn't jive, sexy time doesn't cross my mind.

This is very true.

To answer the OP, I'm not sure. Oddly enough, I find a lot of the girls with whom I'm friends very aesthetically, but not especially sexually, attractive. With that said, I wonder if friendship itself with my friends is what makes them seem less sexually attractive. I'm sure I'd be less attracted to the girls I'm attracted to if I talked to them on a daily basis, knew more about them, etc.

In contrast, some of my best friendships with [other self-identifyingly hetero] guys have a fair share of sexual tension.
