The main styling differences are that the G4 has an button tab on the cuffs and side adjusters at the waist, while the G9 has elastic cuffs and waistband.

For people that own the G9, what color do you have?
I can't decide between the black or british khaki.

Anyone know where to buy the Ben Sherman London jacket, which I guess is what they call their Harrington jacket, for a reasonable price? I hear talk in this thread of $30-60 but I only see $120 online.

I got this one for $30 a year or 2 ago...its sold out now. This is a great jacket that fits me better than my 'real' Baracuta. It lacks the cool details of the real ones like the teflon coating, bottom zipper, and tartan lining all the way to the zipper (this has red white blue checking almost to the zipper) but its a great jacket nonetheless

No these are different. (Duke Harrington) Mine has a double pocket flap on one side you can't see in the pic. Also This color is maroon mine is kind of a garish bright red, thats not a bad pic thats exactly what they look like lol These do look nice...damn I want one now

does anyone own a made in england Baracuta G9 that has a mesh, non-plaid lining? i just ordered one off ebay uk from what appears to be a reputable seller. hoping this thing is legit.

I bought a Harrington style jacket from the Gap. It looks pretty nice, but is lacking some of the features of the real English jackets. I guess the biggest is the lack of the standard Tartan fabric on the inside. Overall I will probably still get a more traditional version like the Ben Sherman, but for the price the Gap version is quite stylish. Especially if you get it with their Wednesday 40% off deal

Sorry to bring back a semi-old thread but I'm looking to get the Ben Sherman Harrington and I can't decide if I'm a Small or Medium. Chest: 39" Shoulder-to-shoulder: ~19" roughly.. I would say I have an athletic build I don't want it to be billowy, just a slim clean fit to wear over a t-shirt or shirt. I'm kind of in-between sizes on most things, either small or medium. I've heard the BS fits very similar to the actual Slimfit Baracuta but I've also heard it fits slimmer. So would it be a safer bet to go with a Small or a Medium? (I hope GS can chime in!) Thanks!

So just to get things straight, there's a Baracuta G9 original, slim and vintage fit. - the original is the baggiest - the slim fit has: longer slimmer body, longer slimmer sleeves - the vintage fit is the shortest of the three styles and cut the smallest. Correct? What about the G10 Mod Harringtons, are they available in the three fits as well? The website only lists vintage fits at the moment. Finally, the slim fit is still pretty baggy and most ppl would recommend sizing down on this one as well? What about the vintage fit? I'm 6'0, 42" chest, 32" waist, about 18"-18.5" shoulders and ~175lb, usually a 40R-42R / Medium in most brands. Should I get the size 40 slim fit, or a 42 vintage fit? If length is a problem, perhaps I should get the slim fit over the vintage fit and have it altered... Also, if anyone has any input on the fit of the Merc and Ben Sherman harringtons compared to the vintage fit and slim Fit Baracuta G9/G10s, that would be great. Which is the least blousy, and isn't too short?

I have a "slim fit" (a misnomer) G9 and it has a "balloon belly" -- lots of unneeded material in the waist for a supposedly slim jacket. I think the "vintage fit" model is closer to how the Baracuta's fit in the 1960s -- see the 1963 pics of Steve McQueen for reference -- jacket was shorter and much trimmer back then. Problem is that the "vintage fit" as currently manufactured by Baracuta comes with a pompous overbranded logo on the chest and hoodie. Hold your horses, calling their logo "excrement" is a bit too much don't you think?

The logo is understated and why they decided to brand their jackets probably has to do with the many Harrington jacket clones out there.

Besides haven't you read the return policy? In case you don't like the jacket just return it and have your shipping refunded.

Sorry, but I don't like to pay to advertise a corporate entity. The classic understated approach of the original G9 is sullied with the modern overbranding. The below logo is not "understated." In fact, it's double branded. A big logo on the chest -- and a smaller logo near one of the flap pockets.

I have a 42" chest size (about - maybe a touch larger) and a ben sherman Harrington XL is perfect on me. Baracuta regular fit was fine through the body, but had poofy arms... I expected it, but it was even worse than I thought it would be.
