I checked them out at the Albam store...seemed REALLY NICE. Although, very heavy denim which wouldn't be a good thing this summer. And at 75 GBP, you can't really go wrong (well, that is how much they had them at the store)

I've heard good things from owners of it.

the description that they are like APC NS seems to be pretty spot on

price in USD is awesome with the current xchange

btw, where is the Albam store (might be cool to check out when next in London)

Thanks for the responses.

Does anyone know how slubby they are?

Also, is the rise embarrassingly high? How do they compare, say, to recent Levi's 501?

I asked this in the jean thread to no avail: to anyone who has owned or tried on both, how does the sizing on APC compare to Albam? I have a pair of sz 30 New Cure's which barely buttoned at first but have stretched out to an ideal size, what size should I get for Albam regular leg? Thanks

I have a 33" waist and went with my usual denim size (32). The waist fits me perfect. I have not given them a lot of wear, but did give them a quick cold wash and they still fit great. If you want measurements of mine just let me know.

i'm 150/5'10", apc ns 29, albam 30. for me the 'slim japanese' are a better but somehow less expensive new standard

Thanks for the prompt feedback! Again, relative to APC whose sizing and cut I'm familiar with, would the Albam regular legs fall somewhere between the slimness of the New Standards and the New Cures? From what I've read the Albam straight leg is pretty close to the NS, and from the looks of it the regular legs are certainly slimmer but not as much as the NCs.

I bought a pair of 31s last year and compared to my size 30 new standards it has:
- extremely huge back rise
- huge leg opening (nowhere near as tapered as new standard)

I tried hot soaking but the back rise is so huge I havent even worn the jean because it looks so bad.

I assume that's the straight leg model you're talking about?

the cut looks painfully similar to my N+F slim guys

I wear size 29 in APC NS and bought a pair of Albam Reglar Legs in size 29 recently. After an initial hot soak and wearing them for ten days, they have stretched similar to the NS and are comfortable. The RLs are a bit like the NS, but a little bit slimmer. They have a slightly lower rise (maybe 1cm less), taper down to the knee and the leg opening is narrower. All in all, they are great value for the money.
