Is this true but exercise will do the rest.. Diet is just controlling the daily lifestyle but you need is a workout. You can enjoy playing you type of sports of having a workout, also it will remove body stress when you sweat. _________________________ Health Life Style, Sports Images

Well I looked at a bunch of websites this morning to try and get my body fat %. I tried a couple and they ranged from 8% to 15%. I figured I was around 12%, but that was just a guess. These are just the tape measure tests, I'm going to call the gym and see if I can get a skin fold test. Is it worth it to buy some calipers?

If you're using protein and trying to shed fat, I recommend using whey instead of a fatty protein like Muscle Milk. Yeah, Muscle Milk is great, and tastes delicious, but it's not meant for cutting. I actually just finished my cutting phase and attached a pic of my results, time for the beach!

Looks good man! I have a big tub of whey protein (Body Fortress is the brand) but haven't used it in quite some time.

A 5 rep range is too heavy imo.

OK, I'll look into it.

Yes, you can loose a lot of wieght in a short mount of time on South Beach (or Atkins). But it's really those last couple lbs that are the hardest, and require a little more work.

I have done this routine since i was 17 (now 27) and it works great every year.

1. Walk quickly 40 minutes before breakfast EVERY day (if possible drink a protein shake before).
2. Monitor the carb intake, find a sweetspot where you are not tired all the time but as little as possible.
3. Stop will all things called suger. No snacks, no deserts, no suger on the oat meal etc.
4. Work out 2-3 times a week at a gym or home.
5. Whenever you have free time at home, do pushups. At least 200 a day (split it and it aint that bad).

Hope it helped, has worked wonders for me every year.

That's great, I'm glad it works for you. My year round routine is already more intense than that though, so it looks like I'm going to have to ramp it up.

similar to push-up position but you rest on your forearms. Keep a straight back and you utilize your core muscles to maintain stability.

It's great for people that are recuperating after being bed-ridden for a year post-discectomy.
