FS: Vass ONE-OFF SPECIAL DESIGNS U last shoes sizes 41 - 44.5 - Page 3  

i typically wear a 8.5-9E US (8.5 AE's lil snug in width (8E in Lobb 8.5E in C&J)), what would be the equivalent in U and F last Vass? would i be looking at 41.5 F and 42 U, or 42 F and 42.5 U?

Agreed, the U last in particular may not be a good fit for a wider foot..

Count me in on the opinion of U last! Try both, as bothy are sublime lasts!

I tried & was in between sizes, but FUK they are sweet! So sweet that I ordered to pairs..

Now I have to wait..

So, I picked up my Bordeaux Swan Neck double-soles at Canada Post today and now I can see why many rave about Vass shoes. Irrespective of the esthetic debate over U versus other lasts, one cannot help but appreciate Vass' achievement in form and function. My fears over fit were quickly alleviated. I am a US 9 in most shoes and I went with the 42.5 and it was the right move. Kolecho made the transaction quick and relatively painless. I don't even mind that Canada Post charged me $61.01 in customs duties, GST & handling fees. A small price to pay considering what I received.

I have a good feeling that mine will be here soon. TexasLidig8r, you won't be the only lawyer in Texas with these great shoes!

Have trial on Monday. Am wearing them with a navy, windowpane suit, white french cuff Canali shirt, King Baby "celtic cross" cufflinks, Robert Talbott, red pattern bow tie.

What would a 44.5 U Last be in US sizes? The conversion usually surprises me with Vass shoes.

44.5 U would be very, very similar to a 11D in the EG 888, which would mean 10.5 US for most.

A 46 Vass U is just the slightest bit larger than a 12.5D EG in the 888, maybe an 1/8th or quarter of a size bigger, IMHO.
