Probably the only food I really miss from Australia. Anyone in Vancouver know where I can get a good meat pie?

I've never had a meat pie before. I may have to remedy that situation soon.

I've fallen in love with the lebanese meat pies and serve them with some whole milk lebanese or greek yogurt.

I've had pies from Harry's in Ultimo Sydney, I used to work down the road from them. I'm not a huge fan of pies but yeah I like them. Recently I've stopped eating them, thing is I cringe whenever I think about how much calories they contain.

I had a pie in London. It was delicious. I actually thought I was getting a steak, BUT it turned out that the steak was in the pie. So you're probably thinking "oh, he didnt understand the menu". Well, I understood it, I just read the big title "PIES". In any case, first real one I had, and it was delicious.

We have D.U.B. pies here in Manhattan. They're supposed to be quite good. Jack from Nevada Smith's says that "Kiwis know a thing or two about making pies".....

Are Australian meat pies the same thing as Middle Eastern meat pies?

I was always a sergeants fan myself. Their pies are superior and have actual meat chunks rather than gristle pretending to be meat chunks.

I love pies, but I don't eat them any more. Too unhealthy.

My mom used to make meat pies and then smash them out over mashed potatoes.
