I am interested in purchasing a pair of the SL-100X Indigo jeans though I cannot seem to find any anywhere in what I think my size is (32 according to the measurements online). Also just for clarity sake, are the Co-Ops with Barneys the same fit as the SL-100X?

Lastly, regarding fit, would you say they come close to APC New Standards (slim but not too skinny). I have biggish theighs, though a size 33 NS fit me good in the legs (thigh = 11.75) though a touch too big in the waist. Based on the measurements, it looks like the SL's would fit good, assuming they will stretch a bit in the waist.

I apologize for what's likely an over-discussed question, but I'm getting different answers from different sources, so:

Should the ST-100x be bought true to size?

I was told on the phone when I called Self Edge that I should buy true to size, but I'm also seeing on the website that the waist will stretch "up to 1.5 inches after 30 wears." Will the waist then shrink back down? If not, won't my jeans necessarily be too big somewhat quickly?

Right now, completely new, when trying on the ST-100x, it fits perfectly; is that not such a good thing?

The SL-BNY1 is the same cut as the SL-100x. You are right to compare the fit to an APC NS, and can expect about 1" of stretch in the waist after two weeks of wear.

The waist should be slightly snug, but should not be skin tight. Our new flagship denim that appears on our SL/ST-100x jeans doesn't stretch as much as previous denim that we've used. You can probably expect 0.5"-1" of stretch in the waist over time. It's important to check the fit on the thighs and calf area - if you're happy with all of that, then even if the waist gets slightly loose you can always put a belt on. All of my raw jeans fit slightly loose in the waist after I wear them for awhile, but how the leg fits is what's most important.

We won't be running the Stadium Jacket this fall; perhaps it'll make a return in future seasons.

the disclaimer on the self edge site is not up to date then considering it still says 1.5" in stretch over time? for the sl 100x

It sounds like the denim have changed a bit in previous models? I had Roden Gray measure a size 32 and 33 for me and they both seemed to measure different (smaller by an inch in the waist) then what others have online as a measuring guide. Is this correct, or perhaps slight differences in measurements from one par of pants to the next or all of the above? Should have my answer I guess in a few days when they arrive.

They don't need a presoak as the denim is sanforized - you are good to go.

Pretty much stuck, Got a ST200x. Waist snug, will expand. Thighs tight as hell. Can actually feel my thighs throbbing. Tried to check with Selfedge where I bought the denim from if some thigh loosening can be expected and if not can I get a refund or exchange to the new double black ST220x. All I got was frosty customer service and its really put me off dealing with them to exchange. Back to square one and I have decided to try the St220x in W33. If anyone is interested in a W32 St 200x in Black selvedge, please pm. i much rather sell this at cost ($195) and buy St220x from another retailer. Prices pretty much the same across the board. From my short experience, i would say, they are really nice denim, definitely miles better than APC. The quality is very obvious. The ST 200x will fit a guy with slim to medium thighs and calves. If you got big thighs and calves then maybe steer clear of them unless you like skin tight or go up a size and use the belt. So let me know if interested. Such a shame no retailer around me stocks 3sixteen so do not have the luxury of trying denim on prior to purchasing.

Dude, you're being a bit dramatic about this..
I helped you for twenty minutes via Skype and answered every one of your questions and even offered to take the jeans back for store credit towards anything else you wanted in the store (including the new ST-220x jeans) but you kept going back to "my thighs are throbbing in these". I even told you how much they'd stretch and even compared the jeans to other jeans you were considering.
Not sure what else you wanted... Regardless, coming onto a forum afterwards and repeating everything you said to me after i answered every questions seems a bit like your taking this too hard, jeans are too tight, either size up or get a fit that's not that slim.

not sure why you bought slim tapered jeans if you know you have big thighs
