There's another small run of SL/ST-100x jeans that complete Sept 1st which will ship to stores that prebooked them, and then the big Fall restock will be done in the beginning of October.
^^ We have some arriving in early September as part of this run, both ST-100x and SL-100x.

Kind of worried, I wear a 33 in PBJ 007s and ordered a 32 in the SL-100x. Hope it fits ok!

I think you'll be alright... the SL's run slightly bigger than the ST's and are a roomier cut all around. As mentioned previously, make sure you can button the jeans up - you can expect 0.5-1" of stretch over the first few weeks.

Cool, thanks, fingers crossed I can button them up!

3sixteen: Solid Black Denim

3sixteen's solid black denim uses the same fabric which is used on the other newly released denims form the current season, only this denim has black dyed warp and weft. With this season's production, 3sixteen has introduced a new fabric which is being used on both black and indigo denim productions. The new denim fabric has been custom designed and made in Okayama, Japan which is exclusive to 3sixteen. There are also many small upgrades in the new production which combined with the slim silhouettes makes 3sixteen's new denim one of the best USA made slim fit denims on the market.

3sixteen's new denim is made with a 14.5oz high slub selvedge denim woven in Okayama, Japan which has been sanforized, skewed, and singed. Though the fabrics has been singed, it is still not heavily processed and the surface will have a hairiness and slub. What we like about it is that to the untrained eye, it looks clean and uniform (so it functions well as a dressier jean), but for someone who knows what they are looking for, they'll be able to spot some interesting facets about the textile. This is the same fabric used on the indigo ST-100x and ST-200x, the only difference being dyed black rather than indigo.

Do both the new black 3sixteens really have 30" waists for size 28? How do these have almost the same measurement as New Standards in tagged 26(an actual 28), but have a waist about 2 inches larger? My waist measures 29" where my jeans sit, 28.5" if I pull the tape tight.

By the way we measure, a size 28 will measure 30" at the waist line. We measure by placing the front of the waist band over the back of the waist band and pulling tight. If you leave it loose lying on a flat surface, the waist on a 28 will measure 29"-29.25".

Our latest 3sixteen delivery is the SL-200x slim straight black denim. This is the slim straight verision of the ST-200x we introduced earlier this month.

Sorry, I know this has been answered somewhere in the 65 pages of posting.

I have a 31" waist and wear size 30 New Standards.

I think the SL-100x is the fit for me (open to suggestion, of course), but I am not clear on how I should size them. My guess is 30, but I want to damn sure.

Thoughts?
I believe the SL-100x size 29s are 30" waist out of the box and will stretch to 31" - 31.5", so keep that in mind. For example, my waist is 34", my APC Rescue size was a 30 (approximately a APC NS Size 31), and I purchased SL-100x size 32.

If your 31" inch measurement is right, I'm guessing your APC NS are slightly loose (assuming you've had them for a while). A lot of people on this forum would have suggested you went size 28 APC NS, and the natural progression would be to get a size 29 SL-100x. That is my recommendation.

So, just to recap:
(True waist measurement - 4 ) = most recommended APC Rescue size for "New Standard-like" fit.
(True waist measurment - 3) = most recommended APC Rescue size for looser fit.
(True waist measurement - 3) = most recommended APC New Standard size.
(Trust waist measurement - 2) = most recommended SL-100x, ST-100x size (fit will differ, of course).

3sixteen make great jeans and I'm sure you will be happy with your purchase. fing02[1].gif

The issue is that I have an athletic... well... ass. Think sprinter. If I had bought 28s in the NS, they never would have buttoned.

I don't think it would be possible for me to fit into anything smaller than a size 30 NS.

Hence my apprehension with a new brand.

So, for all intents and purposes, your true waist size is ~33"... order size 31 SL-100x.
