3sixteen Short Sleeve Shirts, Indigo Sashiko Jacket, & Drift Magazine Volume 4

We've just received a couple of short sleeve 3sixteen shirts and a beautiful indigo-dyed sashiko work-jacket. Both shirts have some great patterns perfect for casual summer wear and the jacket has one of the most impressive sashiko treatments we've seen yet.

We've also received the new issue of everybody's favorite collectible coffee magazine, Drift.

All these items are available now at all Self Edge stores.

How much stretch have people seen in the 120x fabric? I picked up a pair of CT-120X, and they fit well now but seem like they may stretch a bit over time. I went TTS on them, although I think I've heard of people sizing down on the CT cut.

I have a pair of SL-120x and they didn't stretch terribly.  Maybe 1.5" or so.

I will say that the material is probably my favorite denim that I have handled.  My pair is going on 4 years old and has held up (and faded!) extremely well.  They were my only jeans for probably 1.5 years but now have become part of a rotation.  Wish I got the ST cut now but they are still my most worn pair of denim.

Good to know, thanks. For now I'll just plan on wearing them with a belt to help minimize stretching.

3sixteen Garment Dyed Pocket T-Shirts

We’ve just received a batch of 3sixteen’s pocket t-shirts which have been garment dyed in three different colors. These look and feel great and we love the contrast stitching on the t-shirt due to the construction thread not absorbing much of the dye during the dying process.

These are available now at SESF, SEPDX, and in our online store.

Shout out to Zack at 3Sixteen. He responded to a ton of emails this afternoon right at close of business on a Friday to help with an order that'll ship to SENY for hemming.

Thanks a bunch! He was a huge help. Trying out the CT120x. First shadow selvedge for me and in the seemingly perfect CT cut. I have a pair of 3 yr old CS100x that I love but ended up tapering.

I only have one pair of denim and that's my SL-100x which I only w on the weekend nowadays. Thinking about trying the ST cut in the 120x though, but they probably wouldn't get much wear

I really wish they would offer more fabrics in the Classic straight fit and restock the main indigo fabric in that fit!  I may have to have them slightly tapered as well but I'm a big guy with naturally large thighs and the other 3sixteen fits have been tough for me.  The new classic tapered is pretty nice and fits comfortably but I don't like how strongly they are tapered for me.  The leg opening looks too small for someone my size and it's not ideal in my opinion.  3sixteen has consistently cool fabrics though so I keep an eye on them.

anyone ever get their SL's tapered?  if so, any recommendation on where to send them?

I sent mine to Railcar. No complaints. In the past I used a local seamstress for another pair of SLs and the stitching was pretty crooked/sloppy (and no chain stitch on the hem if you care about that), though maybe you'd have better luck.

I figured Railcar would be the way to go.  Wasn't sure if Self Edge did tapering.  I know they do repairs and hemming.

Does only tapering from the inside of the legs throw off the fades at all?  My jeans are pretty faded already...don't want the honeycombs behind my knee to wrap around to the front lol.

Anyone see the F/W lookbook? I'm not big on type III jackets but the new duck versions look awesome - might have to give the olive a try.

Agreed.  I have my eye on the charcoal stadium jacket, Hoping the measurements are large enough to work for me.  I sent them an email awhile back about outerwear and they mentioned releasing an indigo twill non-waxed stadium jacket for this season as well, so it's possible we may not have seen the entire collection.

The flannel assortment looks nice.
