What are the normal measurements for a pair of SLs, is it supposed to be wider at the hem than the knee?

3sixteen:

We have been waiting patiently for the next 3sixteen indigo production and it is finally here! 3sixteen's long awaited new denim production of the ST-100x and SL-100x 14.5oz selvedge indigo arrived today and we are now fully stocked on all sizes.

3sixteen's new denim is made with a 14.5oz high slub selvedge denim woven in Okayama, Japan which has been sanforized, skewed, and singed. Though the fabrics has been singed, it is still not heavily processed and the surface will have a hairiness and slub. What we like about it is that to the untrained eye, it looks clean and uniform (so it functions well as a dressier jean), but for someone who knows what they are looking for, they'll be able to spot some interesting facets about the textile. 3sixteen Slim Straight 14.5oz Selvedge Denim in Indigo - Model SL-100x - $215 http://blueowl.us/scripts/psp/VB_Bri...il&SKU=7973000 - Fabric is sanforized, expect minimal shrinkage - 100% cotton - Tanner 3mm thick leather patch - Chainstiched hems and waistband - Belt loops sewn into the waist band - Gun metal finish custom engraved rivets and buttons - Red and white selvedge - Hidden selvedge coin pocket - Selvedge detail along button fly - Fabric made in Japan, denim sewn in USA - Sizes 28-34,36

I'm looking at getting the SL-100X from Blue Owl but I'm a little confused about the measurements. I've read different things on Blue Owl, Selfedge, 3Sixteen.com and B&S as far as measurements. I need at least an 11.75" thigh with a 31/32" measured waist, so I'm thinking size 31 or 32 in the SL-100X. I'd prefer to go with a 31 so the waist fits, but will it be too tight in the thighs? I also prefer the leg opening size in the 31 vs. the 32 (though on the 3Sixteen site they show as measuring the same).

Thanks, appreciate any help.

The latest batch from 3sixteen had slightly different measurements. Our measurements have been updated to reflect this recent production run. That might be the descrepencies you are seeing.

As for the sizing, you are most likely a size 31. Why don't you call us and while we are on the phone we can measure each of the 31s and 32s we currently have in stock and find one with the best measurements. They could vary slightly and we might find one with a bit extra room in the thigh. Fabric will stretch at least a 1/4" as well within the first few wears.

Hello everyone first post. Just want others opinions on the fit of my 3sixteen SL-100x denim that just came in. I feel they are almost too tight. I am 5'10" 185lbs. I went with a 32 even though my waist is a true 34. I also had them hemmed to 34 length by SENY. They are difficult to get on. Not much room in the thighs whatsoever. Also the top bottom does go but it is tight. Just let me know what you guys think. I could always try and sell and grab a 33 but I am just not sure about the fit. Probably because this is my first straight leg denim purchase too. Im very used to bootcut for a long time. Anyways thanks guys. If anyone is interested in them anyways just shoot me an email at [email protected] for less then retail obviously again 32x34
Sorry for the crappy iPhone pics girl has the good cam.

Right so I bought a pair of APC New standards, and I really like them but the 3sixteen jeans are just too sexy so I plan to get a pair of ST-120x (they look bloody amazing!) between now and Christmas. I got the APCs in a 30" waist, I could do them up straight away but they were pretty uncomfortable, stretched out quickly within a couple of days and now 3 months later I wear them with a belt to stop more stretching. I'm not sure whether to get the 29" or 30" from 3sixteen bearing in mind I kind of wish I had got a 29 for the APCs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I ordered a pair of 316 sl 100x in 34 and I can't even get the top button done. Debating on getting the st 100x in a size 36 or getting double black in size 34. They seem to run bigger although all three sites have sizes varying.

not sure if this will help, but i had a pair of APC petit standards in 28 that i wore for about a year and were just way too damned tight, even after stretching them out - so let's assume i'm a 29 in APC. i currently own a pair of 3sixteens in 30 that i've had for over a year now as well, and they're amazing. also for reference, i'm in between a 30 and 31 in levi's - with that said, i'd say try one waist size up in 3sixteen from what you'd wear in apc?

The butt and thighs of the SL-100x fits me better than the STs, but I'd like to taper the bottom half of the SL-100x. Can this be done while still preserving the longevity of the jeans?

Thanks! Could you button the APC PS when you bought them, or did you have to stretch them for the top button?

Cheers, Alex
