I'm thinking about buying a new pair to replace my old SL-100x (see pictures posted above), but that Kaihara denim literally took years to start fading for me.

The Kuroki selvedge that is custom woven for 3sixteen is extremely soft, almost silk-like on the skin. The has an even flatness at first but comes alive with regular wear. It's a really comfortable jean from day 1.

Slow fader? I only wear denims over the weekend and would want something that is less stubborn...

^ you probably want something unsanforized then. I think some (all?) of the 3Sixteen+/Self Edge models are unsanforized; the SL-100x is not. My SL-100xs are just starting to show minor wear after ~8 months of wearing them 2-3 times a week.

I love their jeans , but have had quality issues with denim before.

If they've changed to Kuroki I'm very tempted to give them another shot...they have 3 pairs left in my size (or as close to it as you can get rtw)smile.gif

By the way, your jeans turned out great!!!

I checked last night and the 3 pairs are still there...

I don't know how much longer I can resist them for...smile.gif

If you wash them more frequently, they would fade quicker.

I'm really keen to try their new denim, as the Kuroki faded and wore out really quickly..

This new denim sounds much better, and I don't mind how slowly it fades as I tend to fade mine quickly anyway, as I wear jeans every day!smile.gif

These are actually a bit darker than they appear in the pictures. They are in need of some crotch repair very soon, I really need to track down a good tailor...

I don't wear my jeans as hard as some people do, but these have been through a lot, including being doused in gasoline when a gas pump exploded me!

Wow-your jeans lasted 4 years???

My record is 2 years, and that's with 21oz denim.

I must be really hard on my jeans :-(

I've got a few pairs of 3sixteens and while the jeans themselves are fantastic, I have to say that the sizing consistency is absolutely woeful. I know some variance between runs is to be expected but it makes purchasing these jeans online almost impossible. I've had a pair of 32s that are smaller in every way than a pair of 29s!

If anyone is going to try and buy these online I'd definitely suggest buying through Blue Owl Workshop. Jay measures each individual pair so you know exactly what you are getting, given that the tagged size cannot be relied on.

That said, I've given up on 3sixteen and moved on to Rogue Territory - killer jeans!!

I didn't know their jeans varied in size - I'll make sure when I order that my pair are measured before shipping:)

Good luck with Rogue Territory- look forward to pics in Recent Purchases!!!!!!smile.gif

Some photos of my ST-100x at 4 months. I'm not very active with it, but this is the best pair of jeans i've ever owned.

(no wash, no soak)
