They are both made in the US, small, owner-operated brands. They both make super high-quality stuff that's built to last and punches above its weight for cost-to-value. All things being equal, you'll need to decide on what cut will fit you best, and what you're looking for in terms of denim.


This is subjective. RT does have more styles, but that doesn't make them the better choice. RT has a couple more fits than 3sixteen, so that may help. If you bring 3sixteen+ cuts into the mix, there's some great options there too.

The ISC fabric is very similar to the 3sixteen Shadow Selvedge, though the RK cut is unique to RT.

Probably not the best choice of words: I meant owners who were involved in all the decision making process and invested in creating excellent products with a considered aesthetic.

Theoretically all owners of businesses would be this way and perhaps in the smaller world of domestically produced goods they likely are--though on the whole that may not always be the case.

Regardless, it was meant as props for both brands their efforts at transparency and excellent goods.

I'm a fan of both brands. I'm eagerly awaiting my 3sixteen+ 30BSPs from your Let's Drink sale. Should be here tomorrow!

Is that so? I've seen this occur countless times—the only issue I've ever encountered has been when it's about a product made by an affiliate and it's listed in an affiliate's thread for their shop (like ToJ listings being mentioned in the ToJ thread). Where can I find that rule? I don't see it listed in B&S, in SWD, or in the Forum Support section...

I looked again, too, and now i can't find it. Strange. Maybe it's changed? I recall it very clearly being called out by Fok (LA Guy) and people (myself included) being called out on it and told they'd be fined if they continued. Things change...

Oh well, I edited the post. Rather be safe than sorry I suppose.

anyone with sizing experience between Ande Whall's and 3Sixteen's ST fit?

My new SL-100s from Self Edge arrived with a broken rivet. I was expecting a lot better quality.

Does anyone know the direct number for their customer service?

How do these look? Should I have sized down to 28 or should i just get a hem for these?

How tight is waist? If it's not snug you should size down. Waist will stretch, and you won't have any shrinkage.
