3sixteen Denim Series, Bracelets, Shirts... - Page 86

Call the shop you bought them from, they should take them back.

AJ PM-ed me back and was great about it.  It's a strange situation so he wants to check them out himself.

I'd rather not return them because it's going to cost me shipping-wise and also I really do believe that there is a weird issue going on with the jeans themselves (although it could just be due to my body I guess...).  Anyways, great service as expected from the guys at 3sixteen.

Can anyone confirm that the ST-100x size 28 thigh measurement (9.5'') is correct on the selfedge site? 9.5 seems incredibly small.

Thanks

Hey guys,

We picked up 3sixteen just last month so I Thought I'd come say hi

we're really impressed with the quality of the jeans - they blow away anything else I've seen in Maine; perhaps New England

running low on the indigo for the moment, but our shipment of shadow selvedge in the SL just came in and I picked up a pair (Though I ordered the Taper - if we find theres people looking for tapered pants up here we're going to add it to the roster)

of course as a Mainer I have to have my beans on if its wet out.

Big thanks to everyone at 3 sixteen - these have been doing well and we're happy to have it on our roster!

I posted about this in the beginner jean thread, but most people seemed to be unsure how much the 3sixteens would stretch:

The waist is just about perfect, but the thighs are pretty much skin tight. Can I expect them to stretch to a comfortable point or are these going to be meggings on my thighs forever? Size up or tough it out?

Also, disregard the ridiculous cuffs and whatnot, they're obviously not hemmed and are therefore like half a foot too long

My questions are all pretty much above: can I expect them to stretch enough in the thighs or should I size up? I'm also worried that if I size up they'll fit ok in the thigh but be too large in the waist (à la this picture:

Might it be that this cut just isn't right for me?

They look super loose in the waist in that last pic, for me that would be too loose.

Are these the ST or the SL?

if they are ST you might try the SL.

Dude, that waist is HUGE on you!

Thighs will stretch a little, but not too much.

But this is not you^^, correct?

If so, then yes, you can expect some stretch and relaxing, but not more about that 1/4" I'd say. However, it might also be that, as you mention, this cut isn't for you. I love the 3sixteen dudes but both the SL and ST are too tight in the thigh relative to the waist--if I size up for the thigh, I get a giant waist. You may want to consider this if you bigger/more muscular thighs relative to your waist size.

(I just ordered the new 3sixteen+ 30BSP which I think should address this and I'm pretty stoked to see how they fit).

The waist is too big. I really want to try the ST's but the thighs seem so small compared to the rest of the pants

As oboy said, that last pic isn't me! You can see how the jeans fit on my waist above that picture. But yeah, if they only stretch .25" in the thigh then that is definitely not enough. And I know sizing up will result in a waist too big for me (which is why I posted that picture in the first place haha). I guess the cut's just not for me

Can anyone reply which fit would compare to Levis 513? I'm an actual 30 waist, and I can't find any 513 fit guides anywhere. I like a tapered fit below the knee, but I'm a cyclist, so I've actually got thighs. What should I go with?

Thanks guys.

how does 3sixteen compare to rogue territory? trying to decide between the two

^ I'd personally grab a pair of RTs. More choices to pick from, imo. The RK ISC looks really interesting.
