Does it have a screw? Maybe unscrew it, lube it, then work it back and forth a few times.

yes, seriously. Oil does wonders on sticky hinges. try a drop of vegetable or olive oil. Whatever is in your cabinet. Work the hnge back and forth, wipe off excess.

^ Not sure if those types of oil are good for the glasses in the long run.

Send a PM to CityConnection (or maybe he'll just see this thread). He seems to work for an optical store and would probably know the best way to correct it.

Hinges are loose and tight from the manufacturer. You have you understand they are mass produced. Some people like the hinges of the glasses stiff and others like it wobbly.

SOOOO....

To make it stiffer, unscrew the temple, take it off, bring the barrels on the frame side closer together (They will become loose over time)

To make them wobbly, do the same thing as above, but bring the barrels apart slightly. (although, they will become more wobbly as you use them)

a tiny drop of lube would be fine (I would probably use dry teflon bike lube based on what I have on hand). Not going to hurt anything...probably has a little machine oil in there anyways

as for taking it apart...how would that void the warranty? unscrew away...just don't break it in the process (warranty doesn't usually cover your own screwups)

Do not worry about voiding the warranty. If they are sunglasses, chances are the place isnt going to give you a warranty. If they do, that's great.

If you're talking about glasses, they should honor the warranty even if you sit on your glasses. Well, the manufacturers let the retailers return it.
