Ralph Lauren has a classic white (actually ivory) buck that currently has a full retail of $145. I am sure these made-in-China bucks are not as nice as their C&J counterparts, but the pair that I have impress me as sturdy, well-made shoes (certainly for the money), which, given the infrequent wearings I and most fellows give our bucks, should serve me for the duration of my existence. They look about as good as any other classic bucks I've ever seen. Last time I was in Brooks (a month or so ago), they had some traditional white bucks for about $130. I didn't examine them closely for quality, however.
