If you can ingratiate yourself with a manager, they can get you 50% off anything web or b+m. They're entitled to 50% off of 5 items every month and 30% off each item in excess. Just sharing for the curious. Personally, I don't care for their merch.

^ would be better if the whole thing were croc. I am not crazy about it the way it is.

Agreed, I almost like the idea, but something about it feels off. Also seems kind of too wide(long?) but maybe that would make it more purse like.

I just bought this Want Les Essentials Leather Briefcase from ebay (after buying two other Bill Amberg bags from this seller).

Anybody familiar with this Canadian brand? At £600 should be good quality. Are they a bit too metrosexual?

Personally, I think manbags (satchels, messenger bags, rucksacks, briefcases, etc) should be as understated as possible, and that you should let the quality of the item do the talking. I find that color to be a bit overpowering considering the size of the bag. However, if the leather is of a quality you should expect from a $1000 bag, it will probably age beautifully, and a hard earned patina is worth its weight in gold.

Still looking for a new bag... Opinions? It'd be a fair bit of cash to drop (450; then again the other one I really want is 1500). I guess the fact I'm not convinced might be telltale but it is very nice.

I briefly owned one of the Want bags last year. I sold it because it wasn't the right size for my needs. I was impressed with the quality. I want a Bill Amberg rocket bag

What are you looking for specifically? Leather tote?
Yeah, something versatile that I can basically use to carry any and all schwag when going out. Tote fits the bill. Right now my go-to bag is a filson 256 which is great for my laptop and fits a good amount of stuff, but if I'm not wearing the right outfit it looks pretty out of place.

how about a thrifted samsonite from goodwill...

Yeah, I really dig that rocket bag, but it's on the pricey side, also I want something with a strap; but it's a pretty impressive case regardless.
