Keep at eye on Ebay for good deals on items with a higher MSRP, too.

Aside from J. Crew, I'd try H&M and Gap (cheaper) or Jack Spade, Fossil, or Banana Republic (more expensive, but easy to find on sale). BR is always running 40% off promotions.

I use mine for school, work, travel, and shopping. Otherwise, I use small pouches/ clutchbags that are large enough for my wallet, phone, keys, and sunglasses case.

Yeah, Jack Spade is a great deal when you find them on sale.

I was thinking of getting a smaller sized bag just to store my music player and maybe a tablet at most when I'm around in the city, but then smaller bags tend to look weird on guys. However it kind of feels silly to carry around a mostly empty bag sometimes. Any recommendations?

 

 

I like this Hideo Wakamatsu bag my wife got me from a sale on Myhabit.com, although it is fairly inexpensive for the quality even at full price:

the 2 side flaps are just the right size for an iPad, and the interior is not too large, to discourage overpacking.

 

The Tumi Alpha Bravo Beale mini-messenger also has room for an iPad in the back pocket and the main compartment takes my Leica with ease.

Another excellent option is the Waterfield Designs Muzetto, available in several sizes. The inner pocket just under the flap is padded with a microfiber-lined fleece.

i think i might just roll with the jcrew options. i heard these bags arent bad and construction is pretty good. i just hate paying full retail when purchasing from chain retail stores. anyone know when the next sale is or if there is a promotion out right now for accessories?

I wouldn't pay full price either. Are you a student? I believe they still have a student discount.

No idea on the next sale. They do them often, but you don't see them on the bags all the time. Check Ebay and keep a watch there. You could also do a "Want to Buy" thread in B/S here.

jcrew does have a student discount that i can take advantage of except you need to buy in store. i tried to going to the store today to see if they have the bag but they didnt have any stock which sucks. ill keep browsing in the meantime.

Any thoughts on this bag? It's PRL, like new. Anyone have any experience with Polo canvas/leather bags? It's about $300, seller says he paid $800 for it...

 

 

 

^That looks like it's from the luggage line, not the fashion collections IMO. Wouldn't pay $100 for it, let alone $300.
