I might be tempted for the black or brown.

rucksack (UK) = backpack (US)

Yes. I call them "pockets."

in the US you can have garbage at every price point.

Although I can't serve with studs and chains, those might be to your liking:

Collection Privee makes some really extraordinary bags. The above two are rather ordinary by their standards, though. Unfortunately, the current choice of CP bags on Yoox isn't quite wide...

Like Aristolasia, Jas MB, and Orciani, one of the first to do the whole "washed/relaxed/luxe" aesthetic. Sort of goth-ninja-ish. Materials and leather have been very nice, in my experience, though sometimes TOO washed/worn styled and almost delicate feeling. Very expensive, but easily found on discount.
FINAL VERDICT: If I were to go goth-ninja, I'd probably buy a lot more CP. Interesting aesthetic and brand, though sometimes odd.

I want a cheap reliable bag with less details. Just a bag that I can throw around.

Currently thinking of the Jansport Right Pack but I'm sure there are better options.

You can always add a cushion to a strap. I agree with you, I like that bag. At $55 its a steal, although it does not appear to be waxed. You might be able to pick up a lightly used filson bag off ebay for about $100. If you don't mind backpacks the Maine Guide Rucksack looks like an amazing value to me at $120.
